Reverse geocode

The last button in the yellow toolbar tab should be used after the images have been geocoded.

Reverse geocoding

Reverse geocoding is the process of finding a location name for a given set of coordinates.

As such it applies only to previously geocoded images. Thus reverse geocoding would typically be done last before exporting.

Options

The reverse geocoding feature is accessed from the toolbar button or the entry in the “Geocode” menu. A sheet drops down to present several options.

There are two possible sources for location information: GeoNames.org and Google Maps. Both options require an Internet connection.

Reverse geocoding writes the City, Province/State and Country attributes of your images. You might want to double-check these fields before exporting.

Altitude

Optionally, you may retrieve altitude matching the image locations from Google Maps.
